- Closed – Purex Complete Crystals Softener Review and Giveaway
Personally I have never used fabric softener and never really saw a need to. But when I got a sample bottle of Purex Complete Crystals Softener in Spring Waters, it just so happened to be at a time when I was getting ready to wash baby clothes. Since I use a free and clear detergent on them and can’t use fabric softener sheets in the dryer, I was happy to read that the crystals were safe to use on baby and children’s clothes. It preserves the flame retardant benefits of children’s clothes, unlike many other types of fabric softeners. The crystals left Alyson’s clothes smelling great, but not overwhelmingly so.
I also liked that I added the crystals in directly with my laundry at the beginning of every wash cycle instead of trying to remember to put it in later. This means no more waiting for the rinse cycle, no messy residual gunk in your washing machine, and no more stains from spilling liquid fabric softener. Even better, there’s no having to buy a separate version for HE machines. The one bottle is safe for non-HE and HE machines.
Purex touts that the Complete Crystals Softener will keep your laundry fresh for weeks. It just so happened that Eric took a week long trip to California, so I got to test this somewhat by washing the clothes he was taking with the crystals. The verdict was that even after 4 days they still smelled good.
